A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for an experienced Network & Security Consultant for a 6 month contract to start ASAP, remote working.

Multi-Vendor Network & Security/ Telephony Consultant required to join a busy Networking and Security Practice to assist with project work across multiple customers, must be self-starter that can ensure projects move forward by engaging tightly with the business, understand required outcomes and proactively drive progress

Technology and Vendor Experience
Excellent working knowledge of network, security and telephony technologies including:
Network switching and routing across Cisco and HP hardware and software
Cisco Meraki Software Defined WAN
F5 load balancing and Application Delivery Controllers
Data centre and cloud connectivity
Checkpoint firewalls
ARUBA wireless networks
Forcepoint proxy Servers
OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols
WhatsUp Gold network monitoring
Avaya and Mitel core telephony
Cloud-based, unified comms services
Verint/Avaya WFO, WFM and Call Recording
ISDN and SIP trunking
VOIP design, implementation and support
Voice Dialler, Softphone, and Call Logging products
QOS and DHCP
Call routing, delivery and IVR
Avaya System and Session Manager

Responsibilties
Enterprise wide security architecture and design for network connectivity
Define requirements for secure connectivity solutions
Strong routing and switching experience to provide hands on deployment and troubleshooting support
Excellent documentation skills to develop, edit and maintain design documentation
Ability to Own and create Low Level technical designs and input into High Level Designs.
Attend customer meetings to ensure and understanding of customer requirements and to assist with knowledge transfer
Quality assure deliverables, as required, produced by other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy of data
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Keep up to date with SME focused technologies and product.
Manage, design and implementation of low risk/medium scale solutions
Achievement of customer satisfaction targets
Delivery of quality solutions
Successful handover of technology designs and solutions to internal or customer support function
Enhancement of the Consultancy’s services reputation with customers, vendors, partners & internal audience
