Kelly Services is seeking a Network Analyst for a global power leader in Columbus IN. Job Title Network Analyst Location Columbus IN Type Contract (W2) Length 12 months (Possibility of extension conversion) Pay Rate 40-45HR Note While this team is currently working remotely most of the time, they are required to go on-site from time to time for support. Selected hire will be required to go on-site as needed too so they need to be within a reasonable commutable distance to Columbus, IN. The core working hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 800 AM - 500 PM. Rotating after hours (including weekends) support will be needed on occasion. While the manager will do his best to keep a 40 hour work week, overtime may need to be worked as needed. Position Summary Support installationconfigurationtroubleshooting of Cisco IOS LAN Switches. Responsibilities for this position will include the following Able to assist and lead projects when needed. Coordinates andor performs installation, troubleshooting, and repair of voice and data cabling in wiring IDF (intermediate distribution facilities) closets and computer rooms. Network components, wiring and cabling methods, concepts, various applications and assure local building codes are adhered to. Off-Hours backup support for LANWAN related outages. Thorough understanding of the technical aspects of LANWAN hardware and software. Support MovesAddsChanges of new network connections as required, keep network documentation updated. Maintain and troubleshoot network systems and identify and correct problems. Provide assistance in identifying and documenting processes and procedures. Works well with Client's JEP and contractor personnel on network issues and escalations. Assist Network Operations with troubleshooting network connectivity issues. Proficient in managing multiple networking projects in various areas of the facility. Act as a focal point for mission critical data center networking problem resolution for Cisco Equipment, including virtual switches, VLAN, Spanning Tree. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth evaluation of factors. Provide process improvement for Incident, Problem, Change and Security management. Troubleshoot complex computer room network to quickly resolve downtime and outages. Utilize the Client's technical to resolve customer issues. Manage the issuescustomers by setting expectations and meetingexceeding those expectations to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Effectively communicate with engineers and management. Receive minimal supervision, no instruction on routine work, and general instruction on new assignments. Perform ad hoc analyses and tasks as assigned Position Requirements Minimum of a High School Diploma is required. 5-7 years' technical experience in this type of role. Experience is key!! The selected hire coming in needs to be able to hit the ground running - they need to be able to have an impact on supporting the team as quickly as possible. Experience with Cisco gear is a plus. Any related certifications would be a huge plus too. WAN experience (end routers, wireless, etc.) will be a plus Project management experience is a plus too.
