Job Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the preparation and timely delivery of accurate reports and analysis that will support enterprise performance measurement. The incumbent is required to work with complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of participant interfaces to Surescripts. The Senior BI Analyst will design, deliver and optimize powerful reports and visuals with a primary focus on but not limited to use of advanced Tableau capabilities. He/She will lead efforts around process improvement to enhance team effectiveness. The Senior BI Analyst will be responsible for developing training materials on new tool/reports across the enterprise to ensure rapid and effective adoption of data driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Leverage advanced Tableau functionality (parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, API, etc.) to create analytical dashboards.
• Develop a strong understanding of business requirements; working with business users/ business analysts to define technical and process requirements
• Translate data into presentable insights.
• Ensure correct translation of business questions and needs into precise queries and reports.
• Question and validate and perform quality assurance of the data for integrity and consistency to support reporting integration effort.
• Identify and utilize evolving key performance indicators around e-prescribing and non e-prescribing adoption and utilization
• Document reporting requirements for reporting products and support the definition of report template and specifications.
• Manage and conduct reporting related training for the company

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in data management and/or applying data analysis and data warehousing and reporting skills in a business context
• 3 years of experience with large transactional datasets/reporting
• 3 years of experience in healthcare transaction data, including QA, testing and reporting
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with SQL /PLSQL
• Advanced Knowledge of Reporting Platforms such as COGNOS, Tableau Server/Software
• Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations around health data (HIPPA)
