Title: Business Intelligence Developer
Duration: 12+ months contract

Developer II (Business Intelligence Developer) performs high complexity (i.e. system level applications) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The primary job responsibility is development of Tableau Reports and Visualizations, the Operational Maintenance of the BI Platform, and response to ad-hoc client requests for data.
Must Have:
- 3-7 year’s applicable experience in Tableau and SQL is required
- Ability to build well designed reports that best visualize the data being requested in Tableau
- Experience with extract complex SQL queries from Oracle, Netezza, and Redshift and the understand qoing of how to stage data in those tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to ask well thought out follow-up questions to users looking to refine their data requests
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Well versed in all aspects of data warehousing/data management methodologies
- Proven ability to learn new data sets
Preferred
- Report building with other technologies including ThoughtSpot, MicroStrategy, and/or Business Objects are a plus
- Experience with using Alteryx as a data wrangling tool is a plus
- Relational and dimensional data design experience is preferred
- Hands-on Data Analysis experience is preferred
- Experience with SQL and PL/SQL development and UNIX shell scripting is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with a diverse user base to gather requirements and refine the requirements to produce visualizations following Fannie Mae and industry best practices that will result in the design and development of BI Reports & Dashboards using Tableau to meet or exceed user requirements (main job responsibility)
- Analyze the current database design of the ODS and DataMart components to become familiar with underlying datasets required for report building work
- Build Reports and data sets in other BI tools ThoughtSpot and/or MicroStrategy
- Work with the user base to share the reports created and get signoff
- Support communications, training, and end user support efforts with reporting awareness and usage guidance
- Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions.
- Assist in the operational maintenance of the reporting environment
