Mobile App Developer (Remote)

Our groundbreaking app company is seeking an experienced, highly skilled and professional app developer interested in taking a lead role in the development of our flagship app.

This position pays a generous equity and stipend only. You MUST BE motivated to take ownership in building apps that are competitive, meet tough customer demands. In this role you will be developing a groundbreaking app from the ground up, implementing and testing new features and writing clean code to build an exciting MVP.

We are not seeking hourly workers, but team players interested in putting their names on a highly successful app.

In this role you will handle all aspects of development and firmly believe no task is too small or too large, whether it’s a cool new feature or a bug fix. Must desire working with a motivated team with little supervision and be able to communicate clearly and execute on daily tasks and coding challenges.

You must have experience in React-Native framework and Expo in Javascript, PHP, and MySQL database. Laravel is a plus. Linux LAMP server, Apache2 and familiarity with AWS EC2 and RESTful API.

Experience working with successful app launches and experience with the new tech companies with similar apps is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of marketing and IT professionals to develop and launch an exciting new application that is breaking new ground in a growth industry

• Understand unique requirements and how they translate in application features and why they are important

• Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines

• Perform unit and integration testing before launch

• Proactively research to solve coding issues

• Conduct functional and non-functional testing

• Troubleshoot and debug applications

• Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and building applications that over-deliver on expectations

• Deep understanding of the React-Native framework, Expo in Javascript, PHP, and MySQL database.

• Experience with Linux LAMP server, Apache2 and familiarity with AWS EC2 and RESTful API

• Experience with Laravel is a plus

• In-depth knowledge of programming for App Store and Android apps

• Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.

• A team player with excellent communication skills

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability

• Great attention to detail and time-management skills

• BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field; MSc/MA will be appreciated

• Certified application developer is a plus

• Experience working in a start-up environment and on apps like Uber, Bumble or similar highly desired
