Prota Ventures is seeking a talented UI Designer / Front-end Developer to join our distributed team. This position will be responsible for creating and designing web elements that optimize user interaction and experience. The ideal candidate will have a creative approach to tackling problems and creating solutions, and will work with teams to create wireframes, storyboards, and conceptual models for testing and building.
The position is fully remote, flexible and requires a commitment of 40 hours a week.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of software development experience.
- Able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment, and meet required schedules and timelines.
- Proven experience with UI design with portfolio of sample projects
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes
- Experience with multiple design programs such as Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, etc.
- Knowledgeable in wire-framing tools, storyboards, user flows, and site mapping
- In-depth understanding of UI; an understanding of the latest design and technology trends and their role in a commercial environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work and collaborate with a fully remote team.
About Prota Ventures
Prota Ventures is a fully remote organization with team members in Boston, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Phoenix, and more. While the plurality of the organization spends some time in Chicago, there is no location requirement as long as you have a space to work and a stable Internet connection. We normally meet in person 1-2x per quarter, which may necessitate travel depending on your location.
