Mid-Level Java Developer (Remote)

Job Description: Mid-Level Java Developer

We are seeking a mid-level java developer (3-5 years experience). A good candidate should be a self-starter capable of working well with others, being able to solve problems independently, wrangle legacy code and find pragmatic solutions to hard problems. Must able to adapt to changes quickly in a dynamic startup environment. The candidate should have strong object-oriented development experience with a working knowledge of Swing, a good base in JAVA and some UI development experience.

Requirements for the position:

• BS/MS + 3 to 5 years experience in Computer Science or comparable work experience

• Multi platform client development skills using Swing and related technologies is mandatory

• Strong working knowledge of J2EE, RESTful Web services, XML, JSON is preferred

• Must be skilled with software development tools such as Eclipse, Ant, JUnit, and Subversion

• In depth understanding of databases, SQL, mySQL along with data/object relational database mapping tools such as Hibernate

• Ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions

• Strong technical documentation & presentation skills

• Full life cycle experience.

Responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and enhancing our existing client Swing product across multiple platforms

• Design, development, and testing of web services

This information is gathered, updated and appended from early design, through construction, while commissioning, and during facility operations. Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Salary: $50.00 to $100.00 /hour
