Out client, a successful Managed Service Provider with a rapidly growing SaaS portfolio of products is looking to add TWO Linux systems Administrators to their team immediately
- Majority of work can be remote, must be able to travel to Boston and S.E MA.
We are undergoing a massive DC consolidation and migration effort. The Senior Engineer will play an integral role in the migration effort of 22DC and 70PB of Data. Experience with the following is a must:
- Zoning Knowledge / Experience
- Host Multi-Pathing Software (EMC PowerPath and Native MPIO) is a plus
- Linux LVM Experience
- AIX, Solaris, HPUX Knowledge and Experience
- Virtualization (VMWare of Hyper-V)
- Ability to multitask, troubleshoot and execute scripts for a Data Migration
Principal Responsibilities:
Responsible for day to day activities associated with data migration services projects
- Maintains awareness of industry trends and their advantages with the ability to make recommendations for improving technology used by our clients.
- Participates in and/or manages cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technology.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following technology areas:
- Administration of various server operating systems including, but not limited to, Linux and CentOS
- Network communication protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, RMI, RPC, etc.)
Education:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
