6 month contract to hire
Remote until COVID restrictions lifted, then onsite in Eden Prairie
PROJECT: As a thought leader within the Enterprise Engineering organization, you will drive the technical long term strategy for the Healthcare API Platform. As a Lead Engineer, you will understand many disparate inputs and craft solutions which will solve complex technical challenges. This is a hands-on role within the engineering organization of client. You should have deep and broad engineering skills and are capable of implementing solutions from the ground up.
TOP REQUIREMENTS: Java (Spring Framework), GraphQL, API Development.
MUST HAVE:
- 6 years of Java experience
- 6 years of JavaScript experience
- 6 years of API Development experience

IDEAL BACKGROUND:
10 years of experience, with 2 years of experience as a Technical Lead/Architect
Deep expertise in Java, Spring, Kafka, GraphQL
Demonstrated knowledge in NodeJS
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud deployments
Experience working with multiple teams
Experience motivating others by creating a shared sense of purpose using a collaborative leadership approach
Experience with the software development lifecycle process and leading large, complex cross-functional engineering projects
DAY-TO-DAY: 100% Hands-on Keyboard writing code, interfacing with other engineers, contributing to our existing applications; building APIs using Java; working with MongoDB as a store for data; using GQL to interact with graph data.
INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1 round - talking to our Principal Engineer. Coding/Experience interview, candidates should understand object-oriented programming (OOP), and be able to give detailed technical answers to the previous work that they have done as it relates to building web services. As this is a hands-on engineering position, candidates should expect to code 100% of the time in this role.
