Harrington Starr is working with a Hedge Fund who is looking to hire a Senior Team Lead .NET Developer to help Stream line a number of Greenfield projects alongside the Head of IT and CTO for all front office trading type projects. This is a high level hire and we are looking for a Lead .NET Developer who is technically hands on with Microsoft technologies such as C#.NET, SQL. C# v6 to move some Desktop applications in the Cloud using Azure Cloud databases.

As the Lead C# developer you will be working with a range of Development teams and your main responsibilities will be to lead, plan using Agile Methodologies projects to delivery stages with the help of other C#.NET Developers. You will need proven experience in Project Management of such projects also extensive experience of managing teams.

Technically you will need to have extensive experience with development and have full development lifecycle experience. This will include both project based development and RAD development. As a proactive Surveyor the post holder will support the Team Leader and deliver the operational duties of their service/business area. The post holder will work with colleagues across the organisation in line with core behaviours and values and contribute to the delivery of the organisation’s purpose, vision and objectives, ensuring positive outcomes for the business and customers.

A key component of the role will be to directly contribute to delivering high performance and continuous improvement within the service/business area in line with the Service Plans, Medium Term Financial Plan, the joint Delivery Plan and the Council’s key objectives to deliver a customer focused service.

The post holder will provide technical expertise on all aspects of building maintenance and surveying, including preparation of detailed specifications, planning and monitoring work, and contribute towards the Asset Management Plan. There are a number of areas within the Surveying function, including Mechanical, Electrical, Specialist Services, Quantity Surveying, and Estimating. Surveyors will work within a particular function, and will be required to deputise for their line manager and other Surveyors across the Directorate as required.

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour PAYE

This is a temporary, but possibly long term role.

“Essential Requirements” – Please check to ensure that your CV addresses the following items:

  • Your recent UK working experience going back at least 5 years, or full employment history if you have been working for fewer years than this.
  • Your availability to work either immediately, or at short notice.
  • Your DBS check number and date of issue, please. Typically, our clients will nowadays be looking for your DBS to be portable, which is to say supported by a subscription to the DBS updating service.   • Qualifications:
    • P402 - Asbestos Surveying and Bulk Sampling
    • P405 - Management of Asbestos
    • HND modules on Damp and Timber infestation
    • CSRT Certified Surveyor in Specialist Remedial Treatments
    • A.C.I.O.B Associate of the Chartered Institute of Building.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Experience of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
    • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to interact effectively and sensitively, in person, via the telephone and in writing with a range of stakeholders, internal and external
    • Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering targets and goals within operational plans
    • kill and ability to work with partner organisation to achieve common goals
    • Previous experience of data input and maintenance of databases and/or Contact Management Systems
    • Literacy and numeracy to a standard required to maintain accurate records and write high quality communications
    • Knowledge of Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding legislation in relation to the role
    • Able to work flexibly and be responsive to change in order to improve performance
    • Good team working skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team coupled with the ability to work on one’s own to achieve results
  • A good level of computer literacy to interrogate various software packages
  • Ability to travel around the borough
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours should the situation arise (evening meetings, emergency call outs)
