Lead ETL Developer

 

Serco-NA is actively seeking a motivated individual to provide ETL architectural system support to the United States Air Force Civil Engineering NexGen project. In this role, you will work with our dynamic NexGen team to support critical Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities for the Air Force customer. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful systems engineering analysis, design, support, and deployment actions to the Air Force CE community across more than 180 bases worldwide.

 

As the, Lead ETL Developer, you will be joining our Workplace and Facilities Management (WFM) Solutions Team on the NexGen IT contract.  Our NexGen IT Team is a high energy and focused on helping our Air Force client maintain their global infrastructure with the right tools and processes.

With your knowledge as the, Lead ETL Developer, you will work within a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.  We will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 

You will perform a variety of complicated tasks and this may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. And in most cases, you will typically report to a supervisor or manager.

 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for systems analysis and application development activities.
  • Design, develop, modify, adapt, and implement short- and long-term solutions through new and existing applications, systems architecture, and applications infrastructure.
  • Direct and lead development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning, and standard development practices.
  • Set and implement policies and procedures related to application quality standards and testing.
  • Provide technical leadership for every aspect of the software.
  • Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner.
  • Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software.
  • Work closely with other managers, development teams, testing, system engineering to meet critical program milestones. This position will work with other professional employees, including Database Analysts, Software Engineers, System Engineering, Software Testing, Developers, etc.

Qualifications, Requirements, Education, Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Extract Transform Load work experience
  • IT Infrastructure and Systems development knowledge
  • Experience with leading/managing technical teams
  • Experience with Java, Python, or object orientated programming language, Web Services, XML, or relational database
  • Leading enterprise projects from concept to operations and working with customers at different levels including developers, product managers, operations
  • Planning, executing, and using effective Agile tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Proficient at writing and troubleshooting PL/SQL code
  • Experience in troubleshooting code
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Experience with ETL tools such as MuleSoft, Informatica, or Alteryx
  • Experience with designing, developing, and troubleshooting custom ETL tools

 

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Knowledge of Air Force CE Community
  • Experience working with federal government programs, particularly DoD
  • Current and Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
  • Security+ or equivalent
