Lead Engineer (React.js/Node.js/AWS) (Remote)

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team who will help build next generation experiential platform including video and mixed reality to replace or enhance in-person events. The ideal candidate is proficient at transforming concepts into a solid architecture and requirements, meticulously detail oriented, and able to oversee other developers' work. This is a long-term contract role with potential to extend or convert to permanency. This is a remote position however local candidates in Los Angeles are highly preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Driving platform technical design and build of a high traffic consumer facing web platform
• Writing reusable, testable, and scalable code
• Review and actively participate in architectural discussions
• Works closely with development, integration and test teams to ensure product quality
• Participate in code reviews and help to guide and advise other members of the engineering team

Skills:

• 7+ years of experience with several JavaScript frameworks and 2+ years of experience with React.JS/Node.JS
• 7+ years of experience in interactive and responsive web development using HTML5, CSS3, SASS
• Experience working as a lead developer or tech lead overseeing other UI engineers
• Experience developing against multiple APIs/Data Sources in a single application
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, PPV/OD video streaming technologies and/or payment gateways (e.g. Paypal, Apple Pay, Google Pay etc.)
• Familiarity with Node.js helpful and/or GoLang helpful
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines for React applications also helpful
• Excellent written, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
