Lead Developer - Kubernetes/Golang (Remote)

** Remote work and in India

Our partners at Infinite are working with IBM on a large storage services effort. We are looking for two individuals to fill this role and we are open to the location; may be fully remote. If you have worked with IBM in the past, that is a plus!

Mandatory:

• 8 – 12 years of experience in to product development, preferably in storage and virtualization technologies, with experience in micro services, REST APIs
• Around 6 years’ experience in product development with C/C++ or Java on multi-platform environment like Windows and different flavors of Linux/Unix.
• In-depth understanding of Kubernetes development which includes extending API server, defining CRDs, Operating etcd clusters, Kubernetes Operator/Controller, Watcher/Informer
• At least 2 years of experience in Golang development
• Well versed with Git merges, rebase, branching, forking and submodules
• Good knowledge on AWS services and other cloud technologies like IBM/Google/Azure.
• Experience with mission critical, 24x7 SaaS software development and deployment.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and understanding of enterprise engineering best practices like agile.
• Exposure to operating systems, kernel mode programming, device drivers, and related technologies and architectures.

Good to have:

• Deep knowledge of storage protocols and standards, such as SAS, SATA, NVMe, iSCSI, Fibre Channel.
• 3+ years’ experience with advanced storage technologies such as replication, high availability, archiving, backup & restore, encryption, and disaster recovery/business continuity
• Expert shell scripting, and mature understanding of Linux concepts around processes, packages, distributions and Linux performance debugging, cgroups
• Familiar with libvirt, QEMU, virtualization technologies
• Experience on automation, CI/CD, DevOps and testing frameworks.
