Laravel Developer (Remote)

Laravel Senior Developer needed.

Responsibilities - Laravel 5.7+ Senior Developer:
You will be responsible for developing, coding and modifying web-based applications, from layout to function, and per specifications. In addition, you will be developing new and maintaining existing internal tools, frameworks, and other novel technical innovations.

Your work will immediately impact our application stack, driving the customer experience from the first impression through the sales transaction. Ideally, you will be self-motivated and self-guided with the ability to estimate work, hit deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment with constant changes.

A typical daily task-flow includes the following:

• Developing front-end Registration and Application websites
• Applying compliance and security principles to E-Commerce applications
• Designing new web pages with Laravel
• Helping to increase conversions with various methods of design

Required Developer Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work within custom frameworks and apply programming concepts to out-the-box solutions
• Expert level understanding of PHP 7.1+
• Excellent skills in relational databases
• Excellent skills with git, including 100% fluency in gitflow, GitHub
• Excellent skills with HTML5 standards
• Proficient with transpilers S(A/C)SS
• Proficient in Laravel 5.7+
• General knowledge of security best practices
• Excellent skills in functional and object-oriented design paradigms
• Proficient in writing API interfaces

Required Hosting and Server Administration Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in hosting PHP + MySQL systems (Experience with exact needs of Laravel preferred)
• Understanding of basic SQL query functions and concepts in order to work with data
• Email server registration and setup
• Domain record setup (MX, A, CNAME, etc.)
• Working with YAML files such as the AWS appspec.yml script
• Fluent in Linux CLI or another OS level CLI is a plus
• BASH scripting is a plus but not required

Desired Additional Skills and Qualifications:

• Amazon AWS familiarity
• Knowledge Linux sys CLI knowledge
• Knowledge of vue.js and/or react.js
• BS in Computer Science or other related discipline
• Open source projects and/or contributions
• Knowledge of various CMS preferred

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $38.00 to $50.00 /hour
