Junior Web Developer - 3 days per week (Remote)

Well known Local Borough organisation is seeking a Junior Web Developer for a short contract role, part time 3 days per week fully remote to start ASAP.

Your new role
Working within the Digital team, you will be focused on BAU and project based work.

What you'll need to succeed
Must have prior professional experience as a Web Developer and be able to work fully remote including being able to engage pro-actively with other team members across the digital and communications teams.
You must have experience of the following:

• Key skills for accessibility web development will include in-depth knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of WCAG 2.0/2.1 guidelines is a must. Bonus too if you have knowledge and understanding of WAI-ARIA.

• Familiarity with Site Improve software, a testing tool used to outline areas of improvement for accessibility. Knowledge of the tool would be a useful but training can be given.

• Understanding or worked on CMS applications such as JADU and Word Press would be beneficial.
