Jr. Software Developer (Remote)

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for supporting an existing software application, and modernizing and upgrading an older software platform to newer standards. This position will be in our Portland office with flexibility to work remotely from home.

Required experience:

Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related experience

2+ years of experience with C#/.NET Visual Studio

2+ yrs. experience with MS SQL Server

2+ yrs. Familiarity with interfacing with RESTful APIs (Web API, WCF)

2+ yrs. Debugging / troubleshooting / WCF tracing

Self-starter, and able to work on assigned tasks with little supervision

Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

Strong critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to solve challenges or research on the fly

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Application performance, code & SQL.
• Good knowledge of .NET ecosystem, design patterns and microservice based architectures.
• ASP.NET MVC and Web API
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Services

This position is available on a contract basis for part-time up to full-time based on the individuals performance and experience.
