One of Medix’s top ranked clients in the Chicagoland area is looking to add a JDA Developer to their team due to growth. This organization is one of the largest manufacturers of consumer products and headquartered just outside of Chicago. This Developer will join a team and focus on advancing their supply chain management system, Blue Yonder. This individual will be working remotely, with potential on-site work down the line.

Responsibilities:
Create and/or modify documentation for programs, process flow, test scripts or other software application needs, with the supervision and technical direction of the software application management team. Will work closely with product and business teams.
Support the current Blue Yonder software and upgrade the application
Help with several upgrades and enhancements to this software
Working hand in hand with the current team to also help develop automation processes through these current systems and implementing them in any new locations they may add in the future.
Create effective, tested and documented code.
Ability to take high-level tasks and business requirements and produce efficient outcomes.
Conduct walk throughs, review code, perform software applications programming, unit tests, string tests and write user documentation.
Prepare and plan test environments, execute system tests, and assist with execution of user acceptance tests alongside team members.
Participate in collaborative solution development meetings and software application implementations for both package solutions such as Blue Yonder (JDA) or Logistyx interfacing with legacy systems.
Develop and execute unit tests and string tests of software application programs in collaboration with team members.
Understand how material handling systems communicate with warehousing software to facilitate problem resolution.
Possess a complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the position and participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position.
Keep current with supply chain industry trends to accelerate innovation in solutions.
Requirements to apply:
3+ years of BY (JDA, RedPrairie) WMS solution design experience – Dematic WCS experience is a plus
Experience with other BY solutions, such as Warehouse Labor Management and Integrator is a plus
BS in Computer Science or related field
Proficiency in SQL, Java, C, MOCA, and Groovy – C# and SQL Server are a plus
Proficiency in reading MOCA trace files to research the root cause of failures
Understanding of supply chain, logistics, and distribution functional concepts
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to all levels of the organization from warehouse associates to executive leadership - Spanish is a plus
Ability to work within a team and independently.
Ability to self-manage deliverables and due dates
