JavaScript (Vue.js) Django/Python Developer - Data Driven

This is a 6-month contract opportunity working outside of scope of IR35, or the client can offer Perm opportunities also.

About the role:

Digital Skills are working with a small, however well-established company, based in Berkshire. The client is a software development company, producing some innovative and well thought out digital products and services. The client is on a significant growth trajectory and are looking to hire some talented developers to join the team.

The company is flexible about how they engage; this means that they are happy to hire on a contract basis, or to offer full time contract if required; they actively encourage flexibility with work and their standard model is to bring on developers on a more casual interaction and over time build a working relationship that works for all, be that a regular salary, or per hour work.

Our client works with data and mathematics; combined whit scientists and researchers to build innovative approaches. They are well funded and looking to build their team and applications.

We are looking for an experienced, Full Stack Python Developer to join their team. You will have in depth experience with Python, Django, API's, Javascript, cloud and the agile methodology. You will work closely with the team, developing in Python and Django, working in an agile environment (TDD) conducting testing suites.

Technical Skills need:

  • Excellent Experience developing Python applications
  • Expert in Django
  • TDD Development experience
  • Understanding of REST APIs
  • DevOp's experience

The client requires candidates from a strong mathematical background; having the ability to answer and solve mathematical problems logically. For this reason, the ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Maths or in a highly numerical STEM degree.

Due to Covid 19, you will be working from home, however, will be required to be able to travel and work from West London when circumstances allow.
