KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO Partners and is currently seeking contractors in multiple locations throughout the United States including: New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
KPMG is currently seeking a Software Engineer for our Financial Services Solutions practice.
Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze, design, and deliver of Financial Services Solutions team that are appropriate for the clients
- Define and develop new client solutions leveraging programming technologies for example Full Stack, ASP.NET, .NET, C#, Java, Python, HTML, JavaScript technologies and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, database technologies such as SQL Server, ORM frameworks such as entity framework and cloud platforms such as Azure, Google and Amazon
- Design and development of solutions that integrate with vendor tools seamlessly utilizing REST services and other integration design patterns; Prepare technical artifacts to help document technical architecture, design and deployment diagrams
- Adapt and learn new technologies such as Cloud, Intelligent Automation, and Data Analytics in a fast-paced dynamic environment; able to take ownership and accountability of development process through the entire software lifecycle which includes Architecture, Design, Development, and DevOps
- Practice standard development process leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM and enforce development standards defined by the department on best practices
- Review and analyze business requirements and provide technical feasibility and estimates, as well as work closely with business Financial Services Solution team, clients and various technology teams to ensure development of a quality product
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of experience in developing, unit testing and troubleshooting applications software using FULL STACK, ASP.NET MVC, .NET, C#, HTML, and REST APIs
- Minimum two years of experience in leading development projects in a fast-paced client facing dynamic environment
- Experience with JavaScript technologies and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS and SQL Server
- Advanced level of knowledge on application development using these technologies is preferred and three years of experience in designing database schema, develop stored procedures and other database objects on SQL Server (similar experience in comparable technologies such as Oracle is accepted)
- Prior working knowledge of web debugging tools including Fiddler, Browser developer tools, and debugger
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college/university; Master’s degree preferred
- Remote project to start, travel may be up to 80-100% in the future
