Java Software Engineer

Location: York

Daily pay rate: £350- £400

Duration: initial 6 months

Resource Management are delighted to be presented with a well-established York based financial services company who are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join their team for an initial 6 month contract.

The successful applicant will have a key role to play in delivering web applications to support high profile business change programmes which include new distribution arrangements with major high street Business Partners as well as solutions supporting Financial Advisors, Policyholders and internal Business functions.

Experience Skills & Qualifications

• JSF experience
• Have a minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in JEE and building Java based Web Applications.
• Web page development using an MVC framework (HTML5, CSS, javascript, JQuery).
• Agile delivery experience (Scrum, Kanban)

Desirable

• Responsive design for mobile and tablet devices
• Source Code Management (GIT, SVN)
• Web services experience (XML, REST, SOAP)
• IBM Websphere Application Server or equivalent (JBoss, TomCat)
• Experience of Amazon Web Services or equivalent Cloud computing provider
