Our London based banking client is currently looking for two skilled Senior Java Risk Developers to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. This will be remote working full time for the time being due to Covid19.

The successful candidates will join the existing development teams working on strategic risk systems for the Risk and Finance Solutions department.

All of their risk systems are being significantly re-engineered to make them fit for purpose for the incoming FRTB regulation and ready to transition to Cloud provisioning.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

Strong Java development skills

Solid experience of developing microservices with Spring Boot

Experience of - or at least familiarity with - containerized (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and Cloud infrastructures and environments. Knowledge of Openshift is a plus

Must have knowledge of Maven and at least one automation tool such as Teamcity or Jenkins

Familiar with software development and system architecture patterns

Practices test driven software development and using mocking frameworks

Understanding of all software development lifecycle phases (requirements, development, testing, delivery, post go-live support)

Experience working on relational databases

Use of either system MRX or Fire

Business knowledge experience required is Market Risk and FRTB
