Senior Front End Developer - Work From Home !
This is a fantastic opportunity with a significant home working component with a large, prestigious organisation. This role will give you the chance to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies and the organisation's recently invested-in and redesigned bespoke specialist software, as well as make forward-thinking changes within their current development processes!
Home working aspect: After an initial month (approx) of working on-site in Edinburgh, you will be able to spend most of the rest of the time working from home !
Our client are looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join their team, for 4 months initially, and provide leadership to the software development process, continuously improving upon current principles and best practices, including predominantly the introduction of more automation, within an Agile environment.
The chosen candidate will be tasked with sharing knowledge and updates from the team, and will mentor staff on changes made to ensure support and development can be continued moving forward.
To be considered for the role, you will need the following skills and/or experience:
At least 5 years' recent experience with Front End development
JavaScript/HTML 5/CSS OR Java (both would be beneficial)
Previous experience implementing development QA methods (eg. Integration testing, TDD, BDD, API contract testing)
Previous experience coaching/mentoring developers.
Spring/Camel frameworks experience would also be beneficial
