Java Developer (Contract)

THE CLIENT

In less than 10 years, my client has grown from 3 people to 80 people and are expanding again this year. The successful Java Developer (Contract) will be working with the best engineers in the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primarily working within a back-end development team
  • Exposure to the full software stack in a cross functional team where projects require it i.e. including web application development and infrastructure
  • Projects include product feature development and enterprise integration
  • Use modern development tools and concepts to deliver high quality, best practice, software solutions
  • Work with cloud infrastructure and over time, work in multiple industry verticals (Finance, Energy, Telecoms, Infrastructure)

    • IDEAL PERSON

  • Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 3-5 years' experience in Java Development
  • Detail-orientated, results driven and in possession of a can-do attitude
  • Capable of working both independently and within a team
  • Excellent client facing skills
  • Logical thinkers and problem solvers
  • Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking is a plus but not essential
  • Java 8 / Spring / Spring Boot
  • Hibernate / JPA / SQL
  • Relational Databases (PostgreSQL / Oracle)
  • RESTful API development
  • Testing (TDD/ Junit / Mockito / REST Assured)

    • REMUNERATION
     £400-£425 a day
    Remote working for foreseeable due to Covid
