**SC CLEARANCE ESSENTIAL**
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an Java Developer within an international defence organisation based in the Netherlands.

Key role responsibilities:

• Implement code changes
• Develop (JUnit) tests for the existing code
• Enhance the functionality of the existing capabilities of the development support tools for the product
• Setup of a reference environment for the software product(s)
• Implement code changes for future (major) releases of the product

Essential Skills

• SC Clearance
• At least 3 years working in Java Development
• Experience of developing real-time or near real-time applications in Java
• Knowledge of Swing for Java client applications as well as backend for Web applications
• Experience with Java web applications using HTML 5, JavaScript and Angular for Front End
• Knowledge of Unit Testing (JUnit) and integration testing in a continuous integration environment
• Experience with the modern development toolchains including Git, Mercurial, Jenkins, SonarQube and JIRA
• Experience with the Apache Maven build system

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of the processing of NATO messaging formats, including Link-16
• Relevant experience in working geographic information systems (GIS) / map systems
• ITIL
• Agile Software Development
• REST, XML, JSON, Database, H2 Database
• Software development at the network interface level (UDP,TCP) and/or Serial Interface level
• Continuous Integration
• Automated Testing of software
