Java Developer (Remote)

Java Developer is required by a Global Investment House.

You will have the following skills / experience:

• Strong technical knowledge of Java, preferably Java 8.
• Strong experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and Unix shell scripting
• Strong proficiency in design and implementation of micro-service based architectures
• Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment
• Adaptability, tailoring technical solutions to constantly evolving requirements.
• Collaborate with Development, QA and Support teams to clarify specs, raise issues/concerns proactively and identify risks as early as possible.
• Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Chronicle Fix Engine/Chronicle Queue & map knowledge is desirable.
• Knowledge of financial industry technology strategies and best practices would be desirable
• Product support during business hours which includes resolving production issues, responding to production system queries from Business, support team.

This role is initially based remotely / working from home until things return to normal and then on-site at the clients Belfast offices.
