Java Developer - Java - Kotlin - Pythion - Typescript - Kubernetes
We are IT Recruitment Specialists. We are recruiting directly to a large central government body who require a Java Developer. This will be a 3-6 month contract, working on-site in Taunton. (there is a possibility of remote work initially)
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, implementing and testing application/database functionality as directed; Maintaining the application and Back Office systems; Effectively delivering the functional aspects of website applications and developing web applications.
Essential skills and experience:
Code and test in Java/Kotlin, Python and TypeScript;
Deploy and run the cloud-native platform using Kubernetes;
Adapt and learn new technologies as required (eg Azure PAAS components).
Substantial and varied experience as a developer on the JVM (eg in Java, Kotlin etc);
Strong software engineering practices (automated testing, deployments etc.)
Experience of developing containerised applications/microservices
Experience of deploying solutions to cloud platformsDesirables:
Experience of container orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, or similar)
NOTE: This role will fall inside IR35 and the candidate must have be eligible to gain an SC clearance
