Java Developer (Remote)

Java Developer - Contract - London - Public sector experience - 1-day remote working

We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a consultancy company who require a Java Developer for one of their Public sector Clients. This will be a 3-month contract based in London. The ideal candidate will have public sector experience. The client offers 1-day remote working, additional days are possible if you speak to your line manager.

The main activities associated with this role:

• Cloud Hosting (AWS)
• Appreciation of RESTful APIs and complex systems integrations
• Source Control: GitHub 4. Working 'Agile' (using Scrum) in a pair programming environment

Skills:

• Java 8/11, Maven/Gradle, Spring/Spring Boot
• Docker, Cloud hosting
• Junit, Mockito
• MySQL
• Elastic Search
• Experience of an Agile/Scrum environment
• Teaching, knowledge transfer and pair-programming

Nice to have:

• Angular 6+ experience
• Knowledge of web services/REST, micro-services
