Java Developer - Contract Inside IR35

Join a leading ecommerce company who are looking for a Java Developer to help build the next generation of their delivery platform. This company is based a 30-minute train North of London, they will be working remotely for the time being but long-term are looking for engineers who can commute 3-4 days a week, so needs to be within a reasonable commutable distance.

To be suitable for this Java Developer position you need to be highly skilled, self-motivated, and passionate about development. The Java Developer (AWS, Kafka) would be joining a fast-paced environment on an initial 3-month contract, strong potential for multiple extension and becoming long-term. The Java Developer (AWS, Kafka) will be working on exciting projects using Java11, AWS, Kafka, Spring Boot. This particular team work using pair programming and agile practises.

Java Developer - Contract Inside IR35

To be considered for this role the Java Developer should have:

  • Extensive experience using Java8+ (preferably Java11)
  • Experience deployed microservices in AWS
  • Use of Spring Boot
  • Strong communicator
  • Thorough understanding of Agile methods, specifically TDD
  • Comfortable with pair programming
  • Worked with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
