The Opportunity


Save the ChildrenInternational are currently recruiting a IT Project Manager / Scrum Master,based in central London for a 6 month contract.

Save the Children International (SCI) is undergoinga significant change programme (HPO).

This PM / Scrum Master role is required to manage 3IT work streams within the Coding Programme as follows:

  • TIM - Total Inventory Management, a Supply Chain solution (Microsoft .Net stack hosted in Azure with ReactJs frontend)
  • BI / Data warehouse solution (SQL Server stack)
  • TAR (Travel Authorisation Request) – SharePoint solution (SQL Server / IIS, to be hosted in Azure)


The Coding Programme is in the Develop stage (Execute) and provides the opportunityfor involvement through development, testing and then deployment across Savethe Children International (SCI) and Member organisations globally.

In order to be successfulyou will bring/have:

  • Experience as Project manager / Scrum Master on IT solution implementations (as above)
  • Track record of successfully managing projects / work streams across business change, software development and infrastructure activities
  • Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of projects practices and standards (Agile, SCRUM, and others like Prince2, PMP etc.)
  • Demonstrable skills in managing and reporting projects
  • Proven ability to deliver projects / work streams on time and on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, benefits management, financial management and quality assurance
  • Comprehensive management and influencing skills with experience of working with senior level executives
  • Ability to resolve issues swiftly and decisively whilst safeguarding standards and procedures
  • Strong team leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and mobilise individuals outside their reporting line
  • Excellent customer service orientation and follow-up skills
  • A technical understanding of IT infrastructure and Software, and technology development / deployment preferably in web/cloud based solutions
  • Strong business requirements collection skills
  • Highly developed organisationalawareness and ability to understand any sensitivities within a complex multi-stakeholderstructure; and think creatively and strategically to overcome obstacles to co-operationand progress

  • A proven ability to apply excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and to work collaboratively to deliver effective solutions to project related issues

The salary willbe in the region of £500 per day and candidates will need to be set up aslimited company contractors.
