Our client is a Federal Government agency with offices throughout Australia. Due to new project work, they require an iOS Developer to join their Express Plus mobile apps team based in Newcastle.
As an iOS Development expert, you will manage the development and maintenance of mobile device applications. You will be involved with innovation projects - delivering digital solution, including the current suite of mobile apps.
Key Duties include the following:
Develop enhancements and provide maintenance support for existing Express Plus mobile applications
Work as part of a multi-skilled, multi-disciplined development team to deliver high quality digital solutions to meet business needs
Develop mobile device application code with minimal or no supervision, using various templates and tools in the iOS XCode environment
Apply various IOS specific development methodologies and tools relevant to the role and activities
Mentor other developers and transfer knowledge
Develop and maintain technical documentation
Develop WCAG compliant and accessible mobile device applications
Maintain a knowledge and awareness of emerging technologies affecting mobile device development.
To apply for this position, you will need the following skills and experience:
Previous experience with the above key duties listed
Greater than 2 years' Experience in iOS mobile application development
Technical skills that include XCode, UI Kit, Swift, MVVM
Exposure to Web Services, REST APIs in an iOS environment
Be able to start in the beginning or mid July 2021
Be an Australian Citizen due to security clearance and background check requirements
This role can work remotely however ideally be based in Newcastle or travel occasionally to the office in Newcastle. It is an initial contract to 30/06/22 with options for 24 months of extensions.
