iOS App Developer *Contract

Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for an iOS App Developer to work on behalf of our client based in Cambridge.

Our client is looking for an in-house app developer to take the product to the next level, designing and developing the next releases of the app and expanding the solution beyond Apple to support Android devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced application for the iOS platform
• Collaborate with web development and graphics design team
• Work with in-house developed APIs
• Unit-test for robustness, edge cases, usability, reliability

The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer with 3+ years’ experience in SWIFT and / or who has successfully released a product to the Apple App Store. A self-disciplined and organised self-starter who works well in a team and can create clear, well structured code.

Required skills and experience

• iOS App Development in SWIFT
• An understanding of the Apple Store validation process
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Desired skills and experience

• Bluetooth
• HomeKit
• Android app development
• Protocol design – working with the Firmware engineer to ensure the communication between devices and the apps is efficient and handles all the necessary use-cases
• Strong sense of good mobile user experience
• Experience with unit tests and UI tests
• Knowledge of other mobile development platforms
• Experience with App performance profiling

Duration: Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time
Location: Hinxton, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000, depending on experience
