Adaptivestack Technologies Inc. is looking for a talented Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

An IAM Engineer designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements IAM solutions for existing applications. Also, coordinates with Agile work teams. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive or a manager.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multiple IAM domains with experience working efficiently with teams of all sizes, being flexible in filling roles, and a strong understanding of IAM strategy and technologies including Oracle Access Manager (OAM). The primary objectives will be to provide experienced, hands-on support in the implementation and adoption of the rollout of Oracle Access Manager (OAM) as a single sign on solution, as well as enhance existing identity governance and privileged access solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, AND a minimum of 5 years of equivalent work experience. 5 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Experience is required in one or more of the following areas: Identity Management, Access Management, Role Based Access Control, User Access Certification and Federation
  • Linux / Unix / Windows
  • Java / J2EE, JavaScript, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Spring Security
  • Oracle Db, Oracle Forms, Structured Query Language (SQL), Programming Language-Structured Query Language (PL-SQL)
  • 5+ years’ experience with Oracle WebLogic Application Server, Oracle Access Manager (OAM), Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Experience is required in one or more of the following areas: Identity Management, Access Management, Role Based Access Control, User Access Certification and Federation
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Access Manager (OAM) and Oracle Adaptive Access Manager (OAAM) architecture and components.
  • 5+ years of experience of installing and configuring Oracle IAM solution components.
  • Experience with OAM prerequisite software such as Web Logic Application Server, Oracle database, Oracle Unified Directory (OUD).
  • Analyze and resolve problems related to user identity administration in IAM systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues in Oracle out-of-the-box (OOTB) connectors and custom connectors.
  • Experience in integrating applications with Oracle IAM solutions.
  • Knowledge of representational state transfer (REST) or RESTful web services.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) based concepts.
  • Experience of installation and updates of the prerequisite databases and LDAP directory servers.
  • Experience in modifying OOTB/custom connectors for implementing business flows.
  • Knowledge of SOA BPEL workflows to analyze and resolve problems related to user access approval workflows.
  • Extensive knowledge and skills in maintaining an access management/SSO system in a large, complex organization.
  • Knowledge on configurations around policy domain & authentication scheme in OAM.
  • Knowledge of Java programming and well versed with OIM Java API for user and role operations.
  • Well versed with troubleshooting issues with Oracle Access Manager with regards to authentication (Kerberos, LDAP) & authorization of users.
  • Experience in standard operating procedures to perform IAM pre and post-production support activities.
  • 8 years hands-on experience using monitoring tools to identify, isolate, troubleshoot and resolve application, system and network problems.
  • Technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience. Strong data analysis skills.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite required, including MS Visio.
  • Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.
  • Ability to adapt well to diverse environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in dynamic team environment.

  • Experience with Burial Operations Support System (BOSS) enterprise
  • Experience with Automated Monument Application System (AMAS)
  • Experience with Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA)
  • Experience with Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP)
  • Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with IBM Rational Tool Suite including Rational Team Concert (RTC), Rational DOORS Next Generation (RDNG), Rational Quality Manager (RQM)
  • Agile certification(s) such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Agilists (SA) or SAFe Practitioner. (SP), SAFe Advanced Scrum Masters (SASM), and SAFe Professional Consultants (SPC)
  • Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
  • Preference will be given to those individuals where their primary residency is located in a qualified HUBZone (http://map.sba.gov/hubzone/maps/)
