Pertemps Managed Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable organisation based in Hemel hempstead who are looking to recruit 4 C# Contractors on a initial 2 month contract to to update their SaaS systems across various clients
About the role:
To develop and release market leading, efficient and functional software to run payroll and hr services, delivered to both internal and external customers driving both CSAT and Sales growth.
Responsible for building software using languages and the technology stack of Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Azure.
You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems working with internal teams to design, develop and maintain Moorepay's flagship SaaS HR and Payroll solutions and provide escalation to support teams where required.
In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. If you are also passionate about the .NET framework and software design/architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements analysis ensuring functional requirements can be met by the technical design and delivery
- Create technical specifications and unit test plans and execute unit tests.
- Develop scalable web applications utilising established development tools including ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and C#.
- Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages and input in to peer code reviews.
- Manage defects both internally found as QA cycle and externally found in a timely manner which may involve revising, updating, refactoring and debug code.
- Innovation is critical to the success of Moorepay therefore engineers are expected to investigate and develop skills in new technologies
- Adhere to Moorepay's defined software development life cycle (SDLC) for each product worked on in both agile (scrum) and waterfall environments.
Qualifications and skills
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with programming experience
- Working experience of design and/or development experience with, C#, ASP.NET, HTML5/CSS3, jQuery and Bootstrap and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
- Experience in deploying and managing web applications through Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Web Services, WCF and Service Oriented Architecture API's (REST/RPC)
- Experience with concurrent development source control (Git) and continuous integration (Jenkins or Bamboo)
- Experience working with IBM Power Systems, RPG and DB2
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
- Passion for technology and knowledge
