Job Description

As a member of the Tactual Labs Automotive engineering team in Austin, you will be responsible for Electrical Hardware Design. You will work closely with other engineers in a cross-discipline setting to develop human sensing systems for computing, mixed-reality, and automotive products. We are looking for individuals who thrive on building and testing products which are used by millions of people around the globe. Broad expertise with analog hardware design, digital hardware design, and PCB layout is welcome. Previous experience in circuit simulation, and embedded software is also a plus.

We offer a small company environment where you will be able to take ownership of electronics designs at the cutting edge of human sensing technology, with a focus on the HCI (human-computer interaction) field. You will be working alongside our growing Austin team.

Key Qualifications

  • Electronics circuit design, systems design, and integration expertise
  • High-speed digital, analog and mixed signal digital PCB design expertise
  • Embedded firmware (C,C++)
  • Circuit simulation expertise (Spice)
  • Substantial Altium expertise (required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and test of digital, analog and mixed signal circuits
  • Design and test of embedded firmware
  • Fill in “as needed” to assist with simulation, design, fabrication, integration and test of hardware and software

Additional Requirements

  • Please provide two references
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and other Tactual offices as required
