Graphic Designer (Remote)

We are a biotech company located in Santa Barbara, CA looking for a graphic designer with software UI design experience to work with our team on a contract basis. The first project will be working with our development team on updating our software design. Other projects may include layout and creation of brochures and eBooks, creation of graphics for social media posts, website illustrations and icon design. We are looking for someone to adhere to style guide and brand and bring passion for fresh and innovative design. The position would be for about 20 hours/week for an initial contract of 3 months available for remote work from anywhere in the US.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of software UI design experience
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Creative Cloud InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Understanding or experience in scientific illustration or design a plus
• Excellent craft & mock-up skills
• Must have great attention to detail and sense of layout, composition, and color
• Outstanding communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and have great attention to detail
• Highly experienced in taking creative ideas and translating them to visual presentations
• Portfolio examples are required
