Graphic Designer for Winery Team (Remote)

As a member of the Bundschu Company’s growing Marketing Team, the Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of marketing assets and visual content that support both the digital and the in-person experience of customers at Abbot’s Passage Winery and Mercantile and Gundlach Bundschu Winery. You’ll get to work on offbeat email graphics, packaging designs, and even design a concert poster or two. Yes a real concert poster. We are looking for someone who can bring creative ideas to the table and to life in alignment with our brands. Breaking Tradition for Six Generations—The Bundschu Company owns and operates Gundlach Bundschu Winery Abbot’s Passage Winery & Mercantile, Echo Echo Wine and Huichica Music Festival in Sonoma Valley and beyond. This is a contract position with a required commitment of 20-30 hours per week for the remainder of 2020, with the potential for full time hire in 2021 for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral for DTC business
  • Collaborate with National Sales team to design campaigns and POS for Wholesale business
  • Bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design.
  • Able to follow creative direction as well as brand guidelines provided
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications, competing deadlines and budget restrictions
  • Take creative assets and resize/adjust for multi-platform use (social ads, stories, web banners, emails)
  • Manage other design needs such as presentations, signage, and wholesale collateral as needed.
  • Work closely with production and marketing teams to review, proof, and edit labels and packaging and attend press checks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
  • Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, or other graphic design software
  • Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Video editing skills a plus (not required)
  • Wine experience or other CPG a plus

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
