Go Developer - Burns Sheehan are partnering exclusively with a pioneering, market-disrupting FinTech who are looking to scale up their engineering function rapidly. This award-winning business has revolutionised the way in which millions of people handle their money globally and their app has ensured that, as well as constant industry recognition, they continue to increase their client and customer base at an impressive rate. As they continue to thrive, they are looking to engage a number of exceptional Go Developers with in-depth knowledge of distributed systems to contribute to their market leading products. These are fully remote contracts, initially for 6 months but are likely to extend.

What do they expect from a Go Developer?

• Excellent recent commercial knowledge of Go (Golang)... Well you are a Go Developer!
• In-depth understanding of distributed systems in any language but must include the design and build of complex, event-driven, fault tolerant systems.
• This will include the use of Key Value stores, experience with AWS DynamoDB or Cassandra and good knowledge of Access Patterns. You'll also be building services that connect via RPC2 so solid understanding of Message Queues such as Kafka is key.
• You don't just need the knowledge/experience... you must be able to clear and concisely communicate this knowledge - What platform builds have you worked on? Why were they complex? How did you solve the problem? When have you made errors that you've learnt from?
