GCP DevOps Engineer (Remote)

A global software consultancy are looking for a GCP DevOps Engineer to join their growing development team on a fully remote basis.

The role will be a minimum of 3 months, however, has the scope to extend up to 2 years.

The client are a software consultancy servicing a range of industries and are leaders in their delivery of projects.

As an overview of the role:

GCP DevOps Engineer:

• Use Google Cloud Platform to build pipelines in Python and PySpark with Github/Data Prep/Cloud Data Fusion
• Communicate with stakeholders of different seniority level
• Documenting and unit testing pipelines

GCP DevOps Engineer Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive experience of writing code in Python
• Experience of SQL and data modelling/data warehousing concepts
• Must have experience of consuming API using GCP
• Knowledge of JSON and YAML
• Experience in Kubernetes (containerisation) and Continuous Integration (Jenkins/Cloud Build)
• GCP Engineer Certified (Not essential but advantageous
• Experience of Greenfield project work and making positive changes in a new team
• Able to work collaboratively with junior team members
