Fully Remote Front End Developer Contract - strong Vanilla Javascript and CSS

Fully Remote Senior Front End Developer 6 month contract* for a Start-up Saas Provider in London that develops workplace management tools for global corporates. You’ll be integrating new products and troubleshooting/factoring out their legacy code (Ext.js, Kendo UI) and working on new features (Ember). As Front End Developer, you’ll be a brilliant problem-solver, able to quickly and efficiently handle legacy JS libraries. You'll also be handling code reviews with 2 junior developers.

Location: Fully Remote within the EU

*Day rate Contract: £500 - £550 pd - 3 months length with review

£450 pd - 6 months, likely extension

They are looking for the Front End Developer to work fully remotely on developing a range of features’ UI. You’ll be able to produce software based off high level requirements, working directly with the product owner when required, fully self-sufficiently. You’ll need:

• Vanilla JavaScript (ES6, ES7) - You understand that modern frameworks are constantly evolving but all rely on and require expert JavaScript skills to be able to use them appropriately.

• Modern libraries such as React, Angular, Vue (but we not looking for React or Angular specialists). You’ll be agnostic and able to cope troubleshooting older libraries (Kendo UI, ExpJS) to integrate a range of older products into their current product suite (the newer features sit on Ember), at pace and with confidence.

• CSS3 - You know how to write CSS alongside JavaScript to provide the best user interface and user experience.

• Functional, Integration and Unit testing - Quality is in your blood, you absolutely own it.

The Front End Developer will be doing heavy hitting integration and new feature development work, with high visibility and complexity. You’ll lead the work and own the work with a strongly independent work ethic (naturally they can support, but wont be able to hand hold through many tickets).
