Job Description
Amtek Information Service, Inc. is looking for a full stack web developer to join our team. We are a small, family business in civil construction technology. We are looking for someone to take over long-term as lead developer on one of our SAAS products.
Developer will be responsible for developing new features, improving existing features, and continuing the migration of our backend API from AWS EC2 instances to AWS Lambda, and from Angular 1 to the latest version of Angular.

We are a small team. We do not treat our developers like robots who simply turn out tasks. We seek input from our developers and we work together to determine the best approach and best practices. We work informally and we often include our developers on conversations around design and marketing. We place a high value on a well-architected system and clean, well-designed, scalable code.
The bottom line is we grow to trust and love our developers. We are a small, family business and our developers become part of our family. We have fun and we are loyal to the people who have been with us for a long time. We just want to find someone who fits and works hard.
We are based in Tomball, TX (northwest Houston), however, you can work remotely. We use tools like Slack, Trello, and Team Viewer for collaboration. We prefer to hire someone based in the United States because we can work more efficiently if we share the same work hours.
Required Skills
RESTful web API, C# and .NET core, Angular/Typescript/JavaScript, MongoDB, HTML5, CSS.
The entire application is cloud-based (AWS). Developer should be familiar with AWS technologies such as API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Cognito, EC2, Lambda, Key Management Service, S3, SES, SNS, SQS, and others.
Hours and Schedule
40+ hours/week. We are somewhat flexible on the schedule. Sometimes our developers will need to take their kids to extracurricular activities during the day, but then they put in hours in the evening. We understand that. This is a long-term position. We want someone who will be with us for several years, if not forever.

Our ideal employee is someone who is proficient in the required technologies, can develop and learn quickly, who can easily switch between different tasks (such as developing a new feature, to fixing a bug, to a quick site update, etc), who would prefer to work in a small, informal environment, who wants a long-term position, who can care about the saas app as if it was their own, who cares about well-designed code and architecture, who is kind and trustworthy, who is someone we can trust to honestly work 40 hours a week (if remote), who appreciates that we are family-oriented, who wants to keep up with the latest web and cloud technologies,
