Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

Hunbun is a start-up that aims to improve online dating by slowing down and humanizing the process. We strive to create a community where people treat each other as valuable, emotional human beings, not just someone you can replace with a swipe. Our mission is to help people create long-lasting and meaningful connections based on emotional intimacy.

We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our small, yet powerful team. You will play a vital role in designing, developing and deploying our dating algorithm and the back-end of Hunbun’s platform. If you have a strong background in Math and Software Engineering, with the ability to code in SwiftUI then this is the ideal opportunity for you!

Required skills & knowledge:

• You are independent and self-driven
• Must have developed and published at least 3 apps on the App Store and the Google Play Store
• Strong knowledge of software design for both iOS and Android
• Expert ability to code using SwiftUI
• Additional knowledge in at least two of the following languages is a bonus: Java, HTML, CSS, Python, C++, Golang, Groovy, or Kotlin
• You can develop and deliver a robust, scalable and reusable code that is clean and of a high quality, so that others can understand and work with it
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, you are able to show multiple real-life examples where you have applied this knowledge
• Experience of designing and implementing Machine Learning algorithms using frameworks such as Spark, TensorFlow or Scikit-Learn would be a plus
• You have previous experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Coding Delivery (CD) to fix bugs, create enhancements and add additional features in the future
• Excellent communication skills both technical and non-technical
• You have a strong understanding of tech start-ups and know what it means to work in an agile environment
• Willingness to wear multiple hats, roll up your sleeves and help the team succeed
• You can easily adapt to meet the needs of our evolving business
• You have a creative and analytical approach to problem solving with a solutions-focused mindset
• Open to receiving constructive feedback, particularly while participating in code reviews
• You enjoy collaborating with team members and bringing fresh ideas to discussions
