Full Stack Engineer - 6 Months Contract - Fully Remote (Outside IR35)
We are looking for a Node/ReactJS Software Engineer with excellent communication skills to join our team.
The ideal full stack engineer will have experience working on greenfield projects working alongside traders on a 6 months basis. The full stack engineer will have strong knowledge on Node, React and JavaScript. You will be joining a Commodities Trading firm in London and fully remote. The software developer were looking for will have energy trading experience or worked on trading platforms previously.
This role would fit a newly formed group set out to do things differently - we're taking a unique approach, balancing human-centred design with an agile technology capability to tackle complex problems in original ways. So you will be joining a small brand new team of software developers, this is a hands on role working on complex products. This role would suit a senior engineer who has a passion for technology and problem solving.
We are looking for the brightest Full Stack Engineer, who we make our own alerts, find anomalies, fix issues and ask why things happen. We use Open Source tools deployed on the Azure environment. The software developer will have some front-end developmental experience.
What you'll do
Build UIs using modern tools such as ES6, React, Node.js, TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL, CSS, CSS-in-JS,
Redux, Webpack, Jest, and Enzyme.
Build a range of enterprise grade APIs to serve multiple internal and external consumers ranging
from customer facing apps to machine learning pipelines
Mastery experience of REST, GraphQL, and modern protocols (e.g. GRPC, HTML2)
Deliver high-quality, well-tested code
Communicate with other teams and individuals to plan, coordinate and seek feedback
Pitch in where needed as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
Document the architecture in Confluence
Use azure.devops for Agile development
Use github/CircleCI for CD/CI
You do your best even if no one is watching
Collaborative team player with enterprise-first mindset
Who you are
Be an experienced full stack developer with strong knowledge of Node / React JS / Typescript and
GraphQL
Experience with distributed systems
Excellent analytic, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
You have experience deploying production applications (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Rave about the benefits that CI/CD has given you in previous projects
Demonstrated experience in implementing highly scalable full stack services
A solid background in Computer Science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and deftness at
object-oriented design and systems architecture
Great communication skills
