Title: Frontend & Automation Test Engineer
Location: Cornwall (Falmouth) - Possibility to work part or fully remote
Package: up to £400 per day
Duration: 3 Months
Industry: Real-Time Streaming start-up (Greenfield Project)
I'm working with a start-up business based in Falmouth, who require a Frontend & Automation Test Engineer to join them on an initial 3-month contract. They are creating an exciting new product in the Insurtech arena.
You will provide the team with engineering support, taking initiatives and guiding them through a crucial phase of building their MVP.
The support will particularly assist their UX Designer and Backend Software Engineer, on two key areas:
- Front-end Development: You'll take their front-end work one step further, making their pages look perfect. As their CSS expert, they will love to learn from you.
- Automation Testing: Their MVP needs to be bug-free. You'll be testing their website's pages, forms and functionalities - including payment - to make sure it all works smoothly.
The support will necessarily include these technologies:
- JavaScript, ES6+
- HTML5, CSS3
- Test automation tools and frameworks
oUI testing - Selenium or any equivalent front-end browser-based testing framework
oAPI testing - web services / RESTful (using RestAssured or similar)
oGherkin based BDD framework (such as Cucumber)
Ideally, they would also like candidates to know about the following: (but not required to be experts):
- NodeJS
- React/ Redux
- Jest or Mocha
- Java
- Jenkins
- Docker
The is a great opportunity to be involved in a truly greenfield development project on a very exciting product. They would ideally like someone to be based in Falmouth but are open to having people working part-remote or fully remote for exceptional candidates.
