The Optionis Group is one of the UK’s most successful professional services companies, and we are looking for a Front-end Developer with strong PHP programming to join our Digital team.
As our specialist in-house developer, you will focus on step-changing our Conversion Rate Optimisation program. You will work with our internal eCommerce and UX teams alongside our external agencies to update our websites and make them more efficient. You will also be responsible for creating innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the website more visually appealing, enhance usability and increase conversion.
What we are looking for:
- Strong PHP programming knowledge
- Excellent WordPress experience
- HTML, CSS & Vanilla JS, Typescript experience a bonus
- Awareness of front-end frameworks, their ecosystems and how to choose between them
- Awareness of web performance best-practice, developing for accessibility and SEO
- Experience with cross-browser and device testing websites
- Experience working within agile environments including Scrum / Kanban
Responsibilities within the role include but aren't limited to:
- Implement responsive web design principles to ensure that our company website renders well across multiple devices
- Building WordPress templates
- Monitor website performance, watch for traffic drops related to site usability problems and rectify the issues
- Review app and feature coding and plan future website upgrades with the development team
- Assist in the development of applications and features that will be put on the website and in internal functions as well
