Who is USA Core Values?

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Vue.js Front-End Web Developer who believes in our core values of unity, compassion and community, has a passion to rebuild our US economy and wants their code to help people and be a part of something bigger.

You will be responsible for the translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and Back End Developers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and helping to define how the application will come to life.

We expect you to be a tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with visual design. Ultimately, you should be able to create a functional and attractive digital environment for our company, ensuring great user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Implement API calls from the Drupal 8 back-end and other implementations
• Have a mobile friendly approach to development

• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
• Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
• Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Front-end developer
• Vue.js ninja skills, knowledge of Quasar is a huge plus!

• Understanding of Decoupled CMS Architecture

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 and pre-processing libraries.

• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX

• Proficiency with code versioning tools (Preferably Git)

• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging, Unit or E2E testing is a huge plus

• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Knowledge of SEO principles
• Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and content management systems
• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and best practices

• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
• Good to haves: Knowledge of Quasar.dev, Apache Cordoba, Unit Testing, JWT Tokens, troubleshooting native apps, GitLab, Office365, Payment Gateway Integrations, and previously worked with Agile workflows.

Requirements: Positive attitude, team player, ability to work from home, work at least 30 hours per week, and have your own computer.

Education: It is not necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related subject, but please show us that you know your stuff with a strong portfolio and/or Git profile.

Salary: Your compensation will be based on experience and paid as a 1099 contractor.
