Front End Developer (Angular)

• Front End Developer (Angular).
• Central London location (with some remote working possible).
• Day rate based on experience.

We are working with a government healthcare division who is looking for a Front End Developer for a 3 month contract, based in London (possibly with 1 day per week working remotely).

The Front End Developer (Angular) will be required to refactor and redevelop the Trainee Information System (TIS) Revalidation microservice.

This will involve:

• Reviewing the existing AngularJS application.
• Upgrading to Angular 8.
• Implementing new functionality.
• Fixing bugs.
• Sharing knowledge, pair programming and developing the understanding of the application within the current TIS team.

As a Front End Developer, you will be using open source and cloud technologies such as:

• Angular 8, Elastic Search, Cloud Hosting (AWS).
• Using a TDD approach.
• Source Control: GitHub.
• Working 'Agile' (using Scrum) in a pair programming environment.

As part of the team, the Front End Developer will be expected to work with the following:

• Scrum Master, Service Managers (Product Owners) Team (incl. BAs, UI/UX, Test Lead, Front End and Full Stack Developers and Ops).

Stakeholders such as:

• Trainees.
• NHS administrators and managers.
• Business Managers and subject experts.
• Others involved in the education and training of the multi professional healthcare workforce.

Third party suppliers:

• Legacy and future suppliers.

Essential skills and experience for the Front End Developer role includes:

• AngularJS, Angular 8.
• Testing frameworks – Jasmine, Selenium, Protractor.
• REST, SOAP, microservices.
• Experience of an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Teaching, knowledge transfer and pair-programming.

Nice-to-have skills and experience

• MySQL.
• Docker, Cloud hosting.
• Elastic Search.
