We're a marketing company with a purpose: we provide Search Engine Optimization and Thought Leadership Marketing services for well-managed, ethical companies nationwide. Our tech-savvy, remote team represents industry leaders by producing high-level content of genuine value for the public.

We are seeking experienced writers and consultants with a background in assembly services for the chemical refinement industry. The ideal candidates for either position are well-rounded researchers with previous professional experience in a refinery as any one of the following roles:

  • Process Engineer
  • Reliability Engineer
  • Instrumentation Training Coordinator or Supervisor
  • Plant Manager
  • Chemical Engineer

*
Or experience working in any of these groups:

  • Rotating Equipment Group
  • Process Analyzer Group
  • I&E (instrumentation and electrical equipment) Group

*
*
You may also be a good fit if you have managed teams in a refinery in the past, or have a rotating equipment background.

You should be a writer or consultant who can hit the ground running and draw from professional, hands-on experience in this field. Do you know a thing—or fifty—about seal support systems and grab sampling systems? Can you write spot-on advice for the chemical refinement industry? Are you fluent in the language, mindset, and business practices of Kaizen, or continuous improvement, especially in regards to safety? Do you know first hand how critical standardization and safety are within a plant? How about having equipment that is easily operable and easy to train on? Do you know how to speak in hard facts, numbers, and using common, real world examples?

Our writers and consultants are able to turn complex subject matter into articles that are approachable for the general public while providing a viewpoint that isn’t necessarily obvious. They put in the effort to understand the audience and their needs and then provide them with branded solutions based on our client’s business needs. They are self-motivated, deadline-driven team players who maintain high standards and are passionate about writing.

Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in assembly services for the chemical refinement industry as one of the roles stated above.
  • Previous writing, publication, or editorial experience with a proven track record of independent research and content development is valued.
  • Punctuality, professionalism, and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to apply creative content solutions in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • A reliable internet connection and computer.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.

Duties:

  • Write - or assist our writers in creating - well-researched, engaging, and insightful articles for web publication.
  • For consultants: Participate in phone or video meetings with your editors and account executives to answer questions about issues, pain points, and solutions in your industry.
  • Work collaboratively with your editors and account executives to ensure every deliverable meets our high editorial standard and is perfected ahead of its due date.
  • Conduct keyword research to develop titles for your blogs that help internet users find your work (Google Analytics experience is a plus, though not required).
  • Understand the client’s business needs to generate topics, editorial calendars, and articles.
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings as needed.
  • Go beyond the basics: identify new opportunities for research and development, share ideas with your editor and account executive, and add progressive value to each account.

Depending upon your skillset and experience, this freelance opportunity could eventually become a part or full-time telecommute position. We provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities. We strive to be the best at what we do and have a culture of learning—but also a little bit of FUN. We are all whip-smart and meme-ready when the online celebrations or silliness begins to fly.

Please send a resume and a cover email explaining why your professional strengths, personality, and prior experience make you a good potential match for our firm. Writers, please provide 1-2 samples of previously published work.
