Freelance UI Production Designer (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced UI Production Designer with a passion for design consistency, pixel perfection, and an eye for accuracy and detail. The ideal candidate can jump right in on projects that are well under way and is experienced with delivering final mobile UI assets for both iOS and Android apps with proper spec documentation.

Your primary focus will be to support the small Design team in achieving brand and UI design consistency across multiple apps by working with both existing spec files and outgoing deliverables. You have a strong understanding of mobile UI design standards and excellent communication skills. You will help the team develop and maintain a style guide, working with both designers and developers to ensure clean deliverables and proper UI implementation.

• Must live in the Seattle, WA area for occasional post-COVID meetings

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain UI specifications and style guides for a mobile app
• Work on a highly visible diabetes app for a global healthcare company
• Start with one project, with potential for more steady work on full-time hours

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 3+ years experience
• Education in Graphic Design, UI/Visual Design, IxD or related area
• An online portfolio showcasing crisp, clean mobile UI work (REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION)
• Expert knowledge cleaning up and organizing Sketch files with symbols
• Comfortable working in Figma and importing files from Sketch
• Excellent communication skills with capability to create a design language sharable across designers, engineers, and various internal stakeholders
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to stay organized with a large volume of assets and juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Ability to take direction and churn out responsive design work quickly, cleanly, and clearly
• Bonus if you're familiar with Design Systems and Atomic Design
• Experience with healthcare or medical apps preferred

This job is mostly remote work with online team meetings. However, post COVID, there will be periodic in-person check-in meetings in Seattle, WA area and possibly occasional trips to Oakland, CA if necessary.REF
