Key Responsibilities

This exciting opportunity has arisen with a government organisation, they require a Digital Web Ops Engineer to work part of their Operational management of Linux servers, delivering a complex web application stack building and configuring new server platforms. This person will work with their automated tooling working with the testing, debugging and troubleshooting of platform level problems.

• Responsible for the web application build and configuration
• Ability to work with automated tools, testing and debugging
• Responsible in configuring and managing Linux servers for serving a dynamic website.

• Terraform as a skill set is very useful

• Experience of working in an Agile environment
• Used to working with in embedded teams
• An understanding of common web application architectures.
• Experience in debugging a complex multi-server service.
• Familiarity with network protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc.
• Passion for and ability to design and support robust build, deployment and configuration management systems for multi-tier Java J2EE .Net applications.
