We’re looking for a Freelance Social Media Designer to join Subtropic Studios. As a member of the Social team, you’ll partner with creative directors, strategists and project managers to concept and design deliverables for social media platforms (Snapchat, Instagram, Tiktok and more). Note: this role is 100% remote. You must have access to a working computer and programs

What you will do:

• The ideal candidate has had prior experience designing for social platforms in an agency, internal team or design studios.

• You must possess excellent creative, problem-solving skills, as well as have an eye for details and a passion for advertising

Knowledge and Skills:

• Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality

• Passion for technology and critical points of view on its impact on people’s lives

• Experience distilling sources of information into meaningful inputs

• Understanding of creative, designing for social and brand advertising

• Understanding of social media’s creative best practices

• Strong communication skills, positive demeanor and an open attitude

• Ability to build design systems and think in integrated fashion

• Strong composition skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of work experience in design (in-house, brand, or agency experience a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Docs knowledge a plus

• After Effects and Video editing experience required

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• On Call
• Weekends
